And, Write Great Fiction: Revision and Self-Editing by James Scott Bell. And by the way, This book will help you evolve into the great writer you were born to be, or at least improve upon your current meandering novel. I told them Plot & Structure was right in my wheelehouse, so they said go for it. It covers near every scene of the fiction trade and gives dozens of techniques for improving each. Both offer practical advice for polishing our manuscripts. My two favorite books on editing are Revision & Self-Editing by James Scott Bell and Self-Editing for Fiction Writers by Renni Browne & Dave King. This is in many ways a perfect companion to Bell's classic Plot & Structure.
